Student disengagement is a growing challenge in today’s educational landscape, often leading to decreased motivation, academic underachievement, and early school leaving. This training course is designed to equip education professionals with the tools, strategies, and collaborative practices needed to prevent disengagement and promote inclusive, supportive learning environments. Through six structured modules, participants will explore evidence-based approaches to individualised learning, equity, emotional development, family involvement, and sustainable well-being. The programme combines theoretical input with hands-on practical activities, empowering educators to implement change at both classroom and institutional level.

This training course is designed to equip education professionals with the tools, strategies, and collaborative practices needed to prevent disengagement and promote inclusive, supportive learning environments. - Practical activity: Group work - Participants design an improved Individualized Learning Plan based on a real or hypothetical student case, incorporating strategies for both differentiation and early intervention.
Module 2: Promoting Equity and Emotional Development
- Addressing social isolation and socioeconomic disparities
- Improving equitable access to resources, support, and extracurricular opportunities
- Developing students’ emotional intelligence and promoting empathy
- Introducing mindfulness techniques to support stress management
- Practical activity: Simulation – Role-play classroom and family interactions to explore barriers to access and apply mindfulness techniques for stress management.
Module 3: Fostering Flexible and Engaging Learning Environments
- Creating learning environments that support independent and collaborative work
- Promoting self-directed learning through flexible classroom approaches

Methodology
The course applies a learning-by-doing approach, emphasising active participation, group-based learning, and hands-on experiences. All modules are paired with practical simulations or cooperative activities allowing participants to translate theoretical knowledge into usable strategies. The environment is international and collaborative, encouraging exchange of practices and mutual learning.
