European Project promoting OERs and OEPs in STEM Education
Third Transnational Meeting
The North-West University (NWU), supported by Pixel (IT) organized and coordinated the third transnational partners meeting of the European project Ted-SOEP - Transforming STEM teacher education in South Africa through Self-Directed Open Educational Practices. The meeting took place on October 27th and 28th, 2025 at the NWU campus in Potchefstroom (South Africa). The Ted-SOEP project, funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education, aims to strengthen STEM teacher education in South Africa through the integration of Self-Directed Open Educational Practices (OEPs) and Open Educational Resources (OERs). During the two-day session, the project partners focused on key progress, discussing the following main topics: presentation of Results from work package 2. including the National Workshops and the On-Line Learning Activities on the use of OER and OEP to teach STEM in South Africa; presentation of the result of the transnational workshop on Teaching resources (OER and OEP) for STEM teacher-students and lecturers; presentation of the OER and OEP Repository Template, a fundamental step for resource sharing; overview of the dissemination activities carried out by the project to date.
