First Transnational Meeting

University of Södertörn organized and coordinated the first online meeting of the European project entitled “Fostering EDI –  Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in STEM higher education through design and technology”, which took place on 5 November 2026 supported by Pixel. The project has been written and coordinated by the project applicant University of Södertörn (Sweden) in cooperation with Pixel. The project was funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, Cooperation partnerships in Higher Education. The Fostering EDI project, initiated by industry demand, addresses the lack of trained staff and practical Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) tools by developing pedagogical resources for higher education, particularly within STEM fields. Bridging a gap between theoretical EDI research and practical classroom application, the project aligns with EU policies to improve educational quality and workplace preparedness. During the meeting all partners participated and the main topics discussed were: introduction of the project, presentation of the Literature Research, discussion about the podcast production, presentation of the administrative rules and of the dissemination activities.
