European Project on Teaching Mathematics in Higher Education

The Fourth Transnational Meeting

Pixel organized and coordinated the fourth meeting of the European project entitled MathE - Improve Math Skills in Higher Education, which took place online using the Big Blue Button web platform on 25 June 2020. The European project entitled MathE was funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, KA2 - Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education. The MathE European project has been written and coordinated by Pixel in cooperation with the project applicant and scientific coordinator Instituto Politécnico de Bragança based in Bragança (Portugal). The aim of the MathE project is to enhance, through digital technologies, the quality and relevance of teachers pedagogies to reinforce students’ knowledge and skills by providing innovative pathways for the teaching and learning of mathematics. The project also aims at implementing innovative assessment methods to help higher education Maths’ lecturers to identify knowledge gaps of their students so as to identify, on the basis of the assessment made, the best possible flexible alternative learning pathways aligned with the learners' needs. During the fourth meeting, the European project partners finalized the Self-Need Assessment and the Final Assessment Tools. The meeting was also the opportunity for the partners to present the forum addressed to Maths’ teachers and lecturers.
