The Agrupamento de Escolas Emídio Garcia (AEEG) is a public institution with a defined mission in making a difference by pursuing innovative, creative and effective practices in what teaching and learning are concerned.   Founded in 1853, AEEG is currently made up of three kindergartens; five primary schools; one middle school (5th and 6th years) and a secondary school (from 7th to 12th years), which is the head-school of the group. There are a total number of 1809 students.
